On October 31, 2014, Zhang Si, an academician of the CAE Member and director of the South China Sea Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited the Gaoming Industrial Park of the Group Company for investigation and guidance, accompanied by Chen Zhigang, chairman of the Group Company, and Chen Zhihao, president of the Group Company. Accompanying the investigation and guidance were researcher Sun Huili from the South China Sea Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and professor Chen Xin from Foshan Institute of Science and Technology. Since 2009, when the South China Sea Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Foshan University of Science and Technology and the group company jointly built the "Marine Biological Cosmetics Production, Learning, Research and Industrialization Demonstration Base", Academician Zhang Si once again visited the park for field research and guidance.
Academician Zhang Si, as a renowned expert in the utilization of marine bioactive substances and marine ecological engineering at home and abroad, and the chief scientist of China's "Physiological and Ecological Effects and Biosynthesis Mechanisms of Secondary Metabolism of Marine Microorganisms", has led a research team to achieve a series of scientific research and invention patent achievements. Through the joint efforts of the three parties, he has been widely applied in the research and production practice of cosmetics in the group company. The key utilization technology and industrialization of functional protein peptides in tropical marine mollusks, as well as the composite shampoo and hair care products containing marine active substances and olive oil extracts, which have been jointly researched and developed by three parties, have been awarded the first prize of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award and recognized as Guangdong Provincial High tech Products, achieving good social and economic benefits.
During the work inspection on that day, Academician Zhang Si and her delegation, accompanied by the Chairman of the Group Company, Chen Zhigang, and the Chairman of the Board, Chen Zhihao, went deep into the production line to inspect the 100000 level GMPC production workshop of the Phase II and III expansion of the park. They also listened in detail to the Chairman of the Group Company, Chen Zhigang, and the President, Chen Zhihao, on the infrastructure expansion, introduction of high-tech production equipment, and capacity improvement of the park since the tripartite cooperation Report on the work of technological transformation and research and development, as well as the long-term development plan of the future park.
